Our First Podcast!

It’s been a long time coming but, we finally (successfully) recorded our first podcast! It took us a couple of swings at it which made it all the more rewarding once we finally got it done.

We wanted to start our own podcast for a couple of reasons. The main reason is that there is an overwhelming amount of information out there when it comes to exercise and strength training, all of it lined with this common thread of how you can ‘optimise’ your health, become an ‘athlete’ and achieve ground breaking physical feats that we as a civilisation didn’t think possible. Not that there is anything wrong with lofty ambitions but, what if we don’t want all of this? What if we just want to be healthy, support the activities we love doing by building up our strength a little bit and simply be ‘Fit Enough’?

So, drum roll please… Enter the ‘Fit Enough’ podcast! Where we aim to get rid of all the noise, unrealistic expectations and, quite frankly, unnecessary information for you and just give you exactly what you need know when it comes to strength training. Simple and effective advice, discussions and opinions that will help you implement exactly what you need in your strength training to be fit enough for your lovely life.

The second reason is that we both struggle with the click bait, ‘gotcha’ style of short form social media, like Instagram and TikTok. Between the time it takes to create the post, worry about whether it’s good enough to post and whether you got your point across in 30 seconds, it seemed like a more logical idea would be to just hit record when we are discussing topics that we are interested in and share our thoughts and advice with people via a podcast instead.

We are going to be uploading these podcasts on Youtube and Spotify:

So, if you have the time we would really appreciate it if you listened to our first episode, let us know what you think, and stay tuned for the next one in two weeks time where we will be diving into our first topic of discussion (TBD)!

Stay Strong,

Matt & Cy x
